 Media Advisory: REMOP presents an introduction to Environmental Monitoring Programs

The University of Georgia’s Savannah River Ecology Laboratory’s Radiological Education, Monitoring and Outreach Project will present the topic, Environmental Monitoring Programs, at several sessions on Monday, Oct. 16. The 45-minute REMOP presentation will be held at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m. at the Burke County Library in Waynesboro, Georgia.

The library is located at 130 GA-24.

The presentation will cover the components of environmental monitoring programs.

REMOP is a community outreach program designed to educate Burke County residents about environmental monitoring, including metals and radioactive elements. The program is supported by the Atlanta-based non-profit, Georgia Women’s Action for New Directions.
