The SREL Outreach program presents about 300 talks annually to schools, civic, and community organizations. Educators give 45-minute to one-hour talks with live animals as visual aids. Topics can include animal adaptations, biodiversity, ecology of the southeastern portion of the Atlantic Coastal Plain, endangered species, habitat destruction, and natural resource conservation.
- Scheduled preferably on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the school year.
- Provide an indoor area that is free of noise or other distractions, and large enough to accommodate the audience.
- If outside, MUST be in FULL shade and temperature between 50 and 85°F. (Presenter reserves the right to leave if these conditions are not met for the safety of our animals.)
